A Safer Workplace

In a critical endeavor to foster a safer and more inclusive workplace, a leading mining services contractor, boasting a workforce of over 1200 personnel, confronted a pressing challenge. The contractor was grappling with multiple instances of sexual harassment within their remote workforce, with four specific complaints under investigation.

As part of their broader initiative to augment female representation on-site, it was imperative to ensure a safe environment and clear understanding among all team members about the nuances of harassment versus "good-natured" remarks. Our engagement was pivotal in addressing this challenge head-on. We crafted and implemented an online training program titled "A Safer Workplace", meticulously designed to educate all personnel on the facets of harassment, delineating what's acceptable and how to respond if subjected to harassment. The training became a cornerstone for the contractor's initiative, setting a new standard of safety and awareness.
